A play in two acts
Mara thinks that her husband, Simon Peter, has lost his mind. He and his brother, Andrew, have left their fishing business to follow a radical rabbi throughout Galilee. After Jesus heals Mara’s mother from a high fever, their home becomes the headquarters for the ministry. Lepers, cripples, and demon-possessed people besiege the house, begging Jesus to heal them. When men cut a hole in their roof and lower a paralytic through it, Mara demands that Jesus move the ministry elsewhere. How can the family navigate the profound change that Jesus has wrought in their lives?
La Canada Presbyterian Church premiered the play in 2017.
